What this site is

Zombie Games Hub is an independent browser gaming site with thirty original zombie arcade games and a library of guides about how to actually get better at them. Everything here runs in your browser — there is no download, no plugin and no account.

The site launched in January 2026 with a simple premise: most free game portals are collections of licensed content wrapped in advertising, and most game guides are padded restatements of the game's own instructions. We wanted to do the opposite — build the games ourselves so we can write about them from the inside, and write only things that are actually true.

How the games are made

Every game on this site was designed, coded and tuned by us. They are plain JavaScript drawing to an HTML5 canvas, with no game engine, no framework and no third-party libraries.

  1. A mechanic first. Each game starts with one idea — proximity infection, a repel pulse on a cooldown, visible time-to-contact — rather than with a theme.
  2. A prototype. Usually under a hundred lines, playable, ugly.
  3. Tuning against targets. We test four numbers: first-attempt survival time, median run length, skilled run length and how quickly improvement becomes visible.
  4. Controls for both. Desktop and touch schemes are built together, not adapted afterwards.
  5. Written content last. The page copy is written after the game is finished, by the person who tuned it.

That last point is why the tips on our game pages are specific. They come from the tuning process, not from a template.

What we will not publish

Being explicit about this is more useful than a mission statement.

  • No games we did not build. Every title here is original. We do not host third-party content and we do not clone commercial games.
  • No fabricated numbers. No player counts, no download figures, no invented statistics. Where we cite our own testing, we say it is our own testing.
  • No fake reviews or ratings. There are none on the site, because we have no way to collect genuine ones.
  • No global leaderboards. A static site cannot verify a submitted score, so we do not pretend to. Best results are stored in your browser and described as yours.
  • No invented credentials. See our author page for exactly how our byline works.
  • No excessive gore. The whole site uses a stylised arcade look deliberately.

How the site is funded

Zombie Games Hub is designed to be supported by display advertising. The current build contains clearly labelled, empty advertising containers and no advertising code — no publisher identifiers, no ad scripts, nothing served.

When advertising is enabled, it will follow the placement rules we already build to: ads are never placed adjacent to game controls, never styled to resemble gameplay elements, and never positioned where an accidental click is likely. Pages exist because they are worth reading or playing, not because they can carry an ad unit.

If you are reading this and see no advertising, that is because none is currently served. The containers are placeholders. See our privacy policy for what would change if that does.

What we store about you

Nothing on a server, because there is no server. The site is static files.

Your browser stores four things locally, using localStorage, and none of them leave your device: your favourites, your recently played list, your best scores, and whether you have muted game sound. Clearing your browser data clears all of it. Full detail is in the cookie and storage policy.

Getting in touch

Corrections, bug reports and accessibility barriers are the messages we most want to receive. The contact page explains how to reach us, including an honest note about the fact that the form on that page cannot send mail on a static site.

You can email us directly at hello@zombiegameshub.xyz.

Frequently asked questions

Are the games really original?
Yes. All thirty were designed and coded for this site. We do not license third-party games and we do not clone commercial titles — no franchise characters, art, names or assets appear anywhere here.
Do I need an account?
No, and there is no way to make one. Everything that would normally require an account — favourites, history, best scores — is stored in your own browser.
Can I use your games on my own site?
Not without permission. The games, artwork and articles are our original work and are covered by the terms. Get in touch if you want to discuss it.
How often is the site updated?
Games get balance updates as we find issues, and guides are revised when a game's tuning changes. Every page shows its last-updated date.
