Zombie Blaster
Top-down arena shooter with waves, reloads and a magazine that always runs dry at the worst moment.
Zombie Wave removes the one thing every other shooter gives you: the ability to walk away. You are anchored to a single firing position at the centre of the map and can only rotate. Every problem has to be solved by facing it.
Reach the highest wave number you can. The run ends when a zombie reaches your position. Score contributes to your total but wave number is the primary record.
| Action | Keyboard / mouse | Touch |
|---|---|---|
| Rotate aim | Left / Right arrows or A / D | Drag on the play area |
| Fire | Space or left mouse button | Fire button |
| Fine aim | Hold Shift while rotating | Drag slowly |
| Pause | P or Esc | Pause button in the bar |
Pause with P or Esc, restart with R. The game pauses automatically if you switch tabs. Full details in zombie game controls explained.
Because you cannot reposition, rotation speed becomes the resource that everything else competes for. Turning ninety degrees takes real time, and the zombies you turn away from do not politely wait. The game is effectively a continuous question about which quarter of the screen deserves your attention right now.
Zombies advance in loose formations rather than as individuals. A wave typically arrives as two or three clusters spaced around the circle, and the interesting decision is whether to break the nearest cluster completely or thin all of them evenly. Both strategies work; committing to neither is what loses runs.
There is no ammunition limit, but there is a heat meter. Sustained fire overheats the weapon and forces a cooldown that lasts noticeably longer than a reload would, which turns trigger discipline into a genuine skill. Short controlled bursts aimed at cluster centres will always out-perform continuous fire.
Cornerstone Guide
Wave-based games have a rhythm, and most players fight it instead of using it. Here is how waves are actually structured and how to play each phase.

The wave structure is one of the most effective loops in game design. What makes it work, and how to use that knowledge rather than be used by it.
