Graveyard Escape

Escape Easy One tap / Space 1–3 minutes

Graveyard Escape is the most phone-friendly game on the site and the gentlest in tone. It is a side-on sprint through a stylised, cartoonish graveyard — no gore, no darkness, just headstones to clear and low branches to duck under on the way to the gate.

Best Distance: —

About Graveyard Escape

The control scheme is two inputs and nothing else: tap to jump, swipe down or press the down key to duck. Everything the game asks you to do is a combination of those two, which is why it works so well one-handed and why it is the game we point genuinely new players at first.

The obstacle grammar is intentionally simple and always readable. Headstones must be jumped, low branches must be ducked, and open graves must be jumped but are wider so the timing window is different. There are no obstacles that require a judgement call about which input to use — the shape always tells you.

The zombies here are scenery for most of the run: they shuffle along the background and become a threat only in the final stretch before the gate, where a few step onto the path. That structure gives the level a rising shape without ever making the early section punishing.

Graveyard Escape Tips & Strategy

  1. Jump when an obstacle reaches the third fence post, not when it looks close. Use a landmark, not a feeling.
  2. Duck rather than jump whenever both would work — ducking recovers faster.
  3. Open graves are wider than headstones, so jump slightly earlier for them.
  4. Do not hold the jump input. Every jump has a fixed arc and holding does nothing.
  5. The final stretch adds path zombies but does not change the timing rules. Treat them as headstones.
  6. If you fail repeatedly at the same obstacle, you are almost certainly pressing early, not late.

Graveyard Escape — FAQ

Is Graveyard Escape suitable for younger players?
It is the mildest game on the site — stylised cartoon art, no gore, and zombies that mostly shuffle around in the background. The whole site avoids graphic content, and this game is the gentlest example.
Can I play with one hand?
Yes, that was the design target. Tap anywhere to jump and swipe down to duck — no joystick, no aiming.
Does the run ever end on its own?
Yes. Reaching the gate is a win, and each win starts a longer, faster route so there is always a next target.
Why do I keep hitting the same headstone?
Almost certainly because you are jumping early rather than late. Jump arcs are fixed, so an early press lands you back on the ground exactly where the obstacle is.
