Undead Runner

Runner Easy Tap / Space 1–4 minutes

Undead Runner is the classic endless runner given a zombie coat of paint and tuned carefully enough that it holds up. Two inputs, one direction, and a speed curve that rises for about ninety seconds and then holds so the late game tests consistency instead of reflexes.

How to Play Undead Runner

  1. Press Start. Your runner moves forward automatically and accelerates over time.
  2. Tap or press Space to jump over barriers and gaps.
  3. Swipe down or press the Down key to slide under overhangs.
  4. Collect supply crates for a distance bonus — most are on the safe line, some are not.
  5. Mistakes slow you down and let the horde close in. Two errors in a row usually end the run.

Objective

Run as far as possible. Distance is the score, and supplies add a small distance bonus.

About Undead Runner

Obstacles come in three shapes and each maps to exactly one correct response. Barriers must be jumped, overhangs must be slid under, and gaps must be jumped with a slightly earlier press because they are wider. There is deliberately no obstacle that could be handled either way — ambiguity in a runner is frustration, not difficulty.

Supplies sit in positions that are usually, but not always, on the safe line. That 'usually' is the interesting part: perhaps one in five supply placements requires a small deviation, and deciding in a fraction of a second whether this is one of them is the only real judgement call the game asks for.

The horde behind you is not decorative. It closes when you slow down — which happens after a mistimed landing or an unnecessary jump — and touching it ends the run. That gives errors a compounding cost: one bad jump is survivable, two in quick succession usually are not.

Undead Runner Tips & Strategy

  1. Look at the right edge of the screen, not at your runner. All the information you need arrives there.
  2. Slide instead of jumping whenever both are possible — slides recover faster and keep your speed.
  3. Never jump 'just in case'. An unnecessary jump costs speed and lets the horde close.
  4. Gaps need an earlier press than barriers because they are wider. Learn the two timings separately.
  5. After a mistake, ignore the next supply crate entirely. Recovering speed matters more.
  6. The speed stops rising around ninety seconds. If you can reach that point cleanly, you can hold it.

Features

  • Three obstacle shapes each with exactly one correct response
  • Speed curve that plateaus rather than rising indefinitely
  • A pursuing horde that closes when you make mistakes
  • Supply crates that occasionally require a real decision
  • Two-input control scheme suitable for one-handed play

Undead Runner — FAQ

Does the game get infinitely faster?
No. Speed rises for roughly ninety seconds and then holds, so long runs are about consistency rather than superhuman reflexes.
What happens if the horde catches me?
The run ends. The horde closes whenever you lose speed, which is why consecutive mistakes are so much more dangerous than isolated ones.
Are supplies worth going out of my way for?
Usually not. They give a small distance bonus, and a deviation that causes a mistimed jump costs far more than the bonus is worth.
Can I play this on a phone with one hand?
Yes. Tap to jump, swipe down to slide — no other inputs exist.
