About Zombie Dodge

The formations are the content. Zombies arrive in arrangements — sweeping lines, converging pincers, staggered columns — that each have a known safe response. There are eleven formations, they get combined at higher difficulties, and learning them turns the game from reactive chaos into something closer to a rhythm.

Because there is no attack, no pickup and no resource, nothing can distract from positioning. That purity is why it works as a two-minute game: there is no ramp-up, no setup and no phase you have to sit through before the interesting part starts.

Difficulty comes from formation frequency and overlap rather than from speed. Two formations arriving simultaneously is much harder than one fast formation, because the safe responses to each may be incompatible and you have to find the compromise position rather than the correct one.

Zombie Dodge Tips & Strategy

  1. Move to where the formation will not be, not away from where it is.
  2. Stay near the centre by default. Centre positions have responses available to every formation.
  3. When two formations overlap, find the compromise position early rather than the perfect one late.
  4. Small movements. Large ones commit you to a position before you know what is coming.
  5. Restart immediately after a loss while the formation is still fresh in your memory.
  6. If a formation keeps killing you, watch it deliberately for one run instead of reacting to it.

Features

  • Eleven hand-built formations with learnable safe responses
  • Overlapping formations at higher difficulty
  • No attack, no pickups, no resources — pure positioning
  • Instant restarts for rapid repeated attempts
  • Survival time recorded as your personal best

Zombie Dodge — FAQ

Is Zombie Dodge too simple to be interesting?
It is the simplest game here and one of the most replayed in our own testing. Removing every system except movement is what makes the formations legible enough to learn.
How many formations are there?
Eleven, which later combine and overlap. That combination is where the real difficulty comes from — not from raw speed.
Does the game get faster?
Slightly, but frequency and overlap increase much more than speed does. Two simultaneous formations is far harder than one quick one.
Is this good for very short sessions?
It is the best game on the site for it. A run lasts thirty seconds to two minutes and needs no setup at all.
